You should never have to prove yourself as first
To a judge that has a double standard.
Everyone must be given a fair shot in life.

Yet choose to be elsewhere, then it is a losing battle.
Love is never unkind, dishonest, and self-preserving
It takes risks, makes sacrifices, and is compromising.
If one tells you I love you but cannot be with you.
Don't lose sleep over it and eventually lose yourself.
Always walk into war with a weapon and shield.
Abuse that happens to an adult is self-inflicted.
When air is free, don't make someone your air.
When life is not that pretty, go make it really pretty.
You must learn from the past and find your strength.
The shrewd and braver thing to do is to find a way out.
Maybe one day when it does not hurt anymore
When you find a safe haven in truly protective arms
And you have no doubt that you are loved completely
When the war is over, and signs of life are visible
Start over and rebuild your life exactly as you want it to be.
